The Garden Place at This is the Place Heritage Park, Utah | Anila & Tanner Wedding

Anila and Tanner’s spring wedding at This Is the Place Heritage Park was the perfect mix of romance, personality, and pure joy. Held at the charming The Garden Place at This Is the Place, their day was filled with vibrant colors, meaningful moments, and so much laughter from beginning to end.

Spring was showing off in the best way, and we took full advantage of it during formal portraits. We started in the orchard, where the soft blossoms and fresh greenery created a dreamy, romantic backdrop. The light filtered through the trees so beautifully, giving everything that soft glow that photographers dream about. From there, we made our way over to the iconic pink house, surrounded by blooming lavender. The combination of pastel tones and spring florals made every image feel like a painting—timeless, colorful, and full of life.

The details throughout the day were absolutely stunning, especially the florals. Large, lush purple flower arrangements made such a statement, adding depth and elegance to the entire setting. They tied in perfectly with the spring atmosphere and gave the reception space a rich, romantic feel without being overpowering.

One of the most memorable parts of the ceremony was Anila and Tanner’s vows. They were the perfect balance of heartfelt and hilarious—there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd, quickly followed by laughter. It was such a beautiful reflection of who they are as a couple: deeply in love, but also playful and full of personality.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a relaxed and stylish cocktail hour catered by Thirst. It was the perfect transition into the evening, giving everyone time to mingle, sip drinks, and soak in the beautiful surroundings before the celebration really kicked off.

The reception was full of unforgettable moments, starting with the parent dances. Both the mother/son and father/daughter dances were so fun. They both choreographed their dances and it was so entertaining.

And then came the party. The dance floor opened up and didn’t slow down for three straight hours. Guests came ready to celebrate, and they absolutely delivered. There was so much energy, so much laughter, and so many moments that made you wish the night could last just a little bit longer. Anila and Tanner were right in the middle of it all, soaking up every second.

One of my favorite things about them? They were just so happy—completely present and enjoying every moment. In fact, they were so aware (in the best way) that I could never quite sneak a candid photo. Every time I tried, they’d catch me and wave, breaking into big smiles. It became a running joke throughout the day and honestly made the experience even more fun. Their joy was contagious, and it showed in every single image.

Anila and Tanner’s wedding was everything a spring celebration should be: colorful, lively, meaningful, and full of love. It was such a joy to capture a day that felt so genuine from start to finish.
