Wedding

Payson Temple, UT | Bri, Jake & Braelyn Sealed!

There were so many great things about Bri and Jake's day. First and foremost was that they got sealed to each other and their little girl for time and all eternity. That was for sure the best thing! Some other great things about their day:

- The weather was a perfect summer day. Super hot, but blue skies and a wonderful summer night.

- Pictures went awesome at the temple and everyone was so fun and easy going. Plus the bridesmaids dresses were SO cute! I loved all the colors.

- Their reception was at Grandma Joyce's in Springville. It is probably the most gorgeous backyard I've ever seen. I LOVED taking pictures there.

- They had the most amazing desserts and it was all homemade by Grandma Joyce. Plus they had milk, chocolate milk and strawberry milk to go with everything. Oh and they had s'mores that you could actually roast yourself.

- They had a coloring, play-doh and bubble station for the kids. Bri was awesome and over there a lot hanging out with the kiddos. She is so cute!

- There was no receiving line. Bri and Jake went around together and talked to their guests. It was like a nice big hang out with their closest friends and family. I loved how chill it was.

- Their little girl, Braelyn was so happy and she was most loved at the reception. She was passed around from friends to family members. She was so smiley and everyone loves her so much.

- One of my favorite things was that Bri and Jake had a pinata cake, A PINATA CAKE! So instead of cake cutting, they did some cake hitting. It was the best! The kids sure had a good time. Bri had the final hit and the candy flew out. Then they shoved some candy in each other's faces. It was awesome, they are awesome!

It was such a fun wedding/anniversary celebration! Congrats you three!

Payson Canyon | Emily & DJ Formals

Emily and DJ met at school in Hawaii. There they fell in love and decided to be married! DJ is from Kansas and Emily is from Michigan and they decided to seal the deal in Payson, UT. That's where they found me and I'm so excited they did. They are so nice and laid back and easy to work with!

Emily's mom found me and fell in love with this location up Payson Canyon. I did a shoot last year and actually a couple weeks ago here. But today this spot was even more gorgeous! It had yellow and purple flowers in bloom. The sun was out and peeking through the trees and the skies were dark and moody which was so cool for the view shots!  After the canyon we went to Payson temple to get a few more pictures. It was sooo windy and it was closed because it was a Monday, duh me. But we got a few in front and it was pretty cool because of the wind, but hopefully it's not so windy on Saturday. Emily and DJ are naturals in front of the camera and so cute together! I love how it all turned out!

Payson, UT Temple / Sleepy Ridge | Kayli & Nathan Wedding

Kayli and Nathan were sweethearts in high school. I think they knew that they were the ones for each other that early on. They waited through high school, 2 missions, and a few months after that to be married for time and all eternity in the Payson Temple. They're so sweet and cute with each other. Nathan can make Kayli smile so big. All he has to do is look at her.

Their wedding on July 8, 2016 was gorgeous. The weather was blue skies and so nice (despite the wind). Kayli and Nathan exited the temple hand in hand, excited to be Mr. and Mrs. Crook. Kayli's little sis was the first one to greet her. Soon after, the parents and the rest of their siblings came and gave them hugs.

In an attempt to hide from the wind, we went to the back of the temple for group shots. Well we couldn't hide. It was super windy everywhere. But everyone was nice and we got them done! I even had a little more time to get a few shots of Kayli and Nathan. Some people asked Nathan how many times he had kissed his wife. So he kept kissing her and counting. It was cute!

Later that evening, they had the reception at Sleepy Ridge Golf Course. We took a few more family pictures in front and then the reception started. Kayli and Nathan had a line for the first hour, so I got detail shots of the reception. The details were so gorgeous! Kayli's mom made her cake. It was BEAUTIFUL! Then Tricia Thomas did all the flowers. There was a lot of flowers, and she did an amazing job. For food, they had caterers come in and make you crepes on the spot. Looked so delicious. They also had a photo booth and that was a big hit. There were so many pretty details.

After the line, Kayli and Nathan cut their wedding cake. They nicely put the cake in each other's mouths. Next, Kayli threw her bouquet. She and the ladies did a pretty great job. It's too often that I see the bouquet fall to the ground before someone gets it. But her bouquet was snatched right out of the air! After, Kayli danced with her dad. (By the way, her dad, Dr. Peterson, is the best pediatrician ever. Just sayin). Kayli is the first one of the family getting married. She is still her daddy's little girl. It was sweet to watch them dance. Pretty soon, Nathan and his mom danced and then Nathan took his wife and they danced to the rest of the song together.

Then the fun dancing started! The young cousins, her brothers, and their high school friends immediately took over the dance floor. It was a fun group of people and they were all fun to watch dance. They danced for a while and then did their sparkler send off!

Congrats to Kayli and Nathan Crook!
