Wedding

Salt Lake Temple, UT | Jenna & Jake Formals

Jenna and Jake met in American Heritage class at BYU. One day he sat down by her (out of a class of 700 people) and they got talking. She dared him to answer a question and then he dared her to go out to dinner with him. She accepted and they hit it off on their first date! A few months later, they went up the canyon and started dancing to a song that he recorded for her when he proposed to her. They fell in love! They got married in the Salt Lake temple a few days before I took their pictures. I was so happy they asked me to take some formal pictures for them. They are so cute, wonderful, and so giddy with each other. I'm so happy for them!

Bluffdale, UT | Lauren & Jerame Wedding

Lauren and Jerame's wedding was amazing! Lauren and her mom (and so many others) transformed their back yard into the most beautiful ceremony and reception space. It was so gorgeous! Just see for yourself!

Some things I loved about their wedding day:

- Lauren's nephew was the ring bearer. He is so dang cute. Then Lauren and Jerame's nieces were the flower girls. They are darling and their dresses were too. After they walked down the aisle with the grandmas, Lauren's dad and her brothers walked her down the aisle. Her brothers were holding her dress. The ceremony was so sweet. Lauren's uncle married them. It was so happy! They were both smiling ear to ear! They're married!

- I loved all the decor– the flowers wrapping the tree, the flowers on the barrels and on the log stumps, the cakes, and the table decor. The groom cake was awesome! On the tables, they each had a sign of 10 things they love about each other. I thought that was sweet touch. They each had pictures of their grandpas close to them. Lauren had a picture of each grandpa hooked to her bouquet and Jerame had a picture of his grandpa on his boutonniere. So sweet!

- After talking to their guests, Lauren and Jerame cut their cake. They gave it to each other nicely at first but then Lauren smooshed it in face. haha it was funny!

- Jerame and his mom danced next. She was so smiley and happy. It was cute! Then Lauren and her dad danced together. I always love watching the mom's reaction while they dance. She had a few tears. It was so sweet! It's their one and only girl so it was extra special.

- Then they had a sparkler exit! And rode off on a golf cart! Their adventure begins!

So happy for you Lauren and Jerame!

Salt Lake Temple, Red Butte Garden | Kiersten & James Wedding

Kiersten and James' wedding was one for the books! Their day started off at the Salt Lake Temple where it was wet, windy and off and on rainy. I was freaking out a little, but James and Kiersten weren't! They were just so happy to be married and to see family and friends. I loved how easy going they were! Kiersten's mom bought a ton of white umbrellas that helped out. It was very wet! Their friends are family are so nice and helpful that it made things go smooth. From the pictures, you probably can't even tell that it was rainy. After, we went and did more pictures around the temple. It got a little rainier, but we made due! I love how their pictures turned out there. They're just awesome and make every picture look good.

For the reception that evening, the weather was gorgeous! They had it at Red Butte Gardens and holy cow did it look so pretty there! The purple wisteria coming off the gazebo thing made the perfect backdrop for all the family photos. What a relief it was to me that they had time to take more family pictures where I could actually get some good ones, not in the rain! Afterward, the videographer and I took James and Kiersten around the gardens. Everywhere was stunning and they are stunning! I can't say it enough, they are an amazing couple!

When the reception started, they greeted their guests for about an hour. The guests got to enjoy all the yummy desserts, fruits and cheeses that they had there. They also had delicious looking cupcakes that James' niece (who is 16) made. She also made the cake! After talking to their friends and family, James and Kiersten cut the cake. They chose to shove it in each other's face! They weren't too mean to each other. Then James danced with his mom and Kiersten danced with her dad. I like how they did their dances at the same time. They were so cute! Next James and Kiersten had their first dance. They were laughing, smiling and then just holding each other. It was so sweet! Kiersten threw her bouquet next. It went over the heads of the girls in the front and was caught by James' niece in the back of the crowd. She was very surprised! Then James fetched the garter. Haha, it's always entertaining to watch. After that they did a bubble send off! It was a very fun wedding to be a part of!

Congratulations Kiersten and James!
